You can access the General Activity Information page for entering information about a project activity from the Create Project Activity wizard or the Edit Activity Properties wizard.

Fields in the General Activity Information Page

• Activity Name: Enter a descriptive name for the activity.
• Activity Type: select one of the following types of activities:

• Basic Activity
• Project Preparation
• Project Document
• Attachment
• Survey
• Forum
• Training
• Preliminary Bids
• Live Event

• Activity Object: if you chose Project Document, Attachment, or Survey as the Activity Type, you can select the document from the menu. For example, if you selected survey as the activity type, you would select the survey name from the list. You must create the documents prior to the activity to associate them in Project Management.
• Description: Enter a brief description of the activity. The description text appears in project documents where you have chosen to include the project timeline in the contents of the document.

Use these buttons to navigate:

• Next: Opens the Date and Time Settings page.
• Cancel: Exits the wizard without saving.
• Help: Opens Iasta SmartSource Desktop Online Help
