Project Classification

Classifying projects helps you and other users in your subdomain organize and search for projects. You can associate projects with custom classes defined by your Subdomain Administrator. For example, you could create classes for geography and commodity and then group projects by those classifications.

Access the project classifications page from the Create New Project wizard or the Project Properties wizard.

Fields on the Project Classification page

Classifications: The left side of the Project Classifications Window displays an expandable tree of classifications and options. Each classification and options has a check box. Place a check mark in the box to apply a classification or option to the project. These classifications can be helpful when filtering data for viewing and generating reports.
Project Status: Select the current status of the project. New projects are usually given a status of "Development" (Not Published / Not Closed) to indicate that the project is not ready to be published. Project statuses are defined by your Subdomain Administrator. For more information about project statuses, see Project Statuses.
Original Project Value (USD $): Enter the total estimated value of the project (optional).
Projected Savings (USD $): Enter an estimated savings amount for the project.

Use these buttons to navigate:

Back: Returns to the initial General Project Information page.
Next: Opens the Project Settings page.
Cancel: Exits the wizard without saving.
Help: Opens Iasta SmartSource Desktop Online Help.
