Choose from a library of gadgets and layouts to display on the landing page of the Iasta SmartSource Desktop. Choose data that is relevant to meeting your objectives and will help you prioritize their work more strategically. Pick combinations of gadgets that will show your data in contexts that provide extra meaning. Ideally, your dashboard should synthesize data and place it in a context that can drive action.
Research shows that dashboards are most likely to increase your productivity if you think strategically about the type of data that you need to support real-time decision making. The triggered action could be a corrective action to prevent, resolve, or mitigate an issue or it could be that increased visibility to key pieces of information improves your ability to prioritize your work.
Dashboards enable users to visually compare data in meaningful ways. Put a graph alongside the same data in a chart so you can see a visual summary and a detailed list. Information gadgets that make up the dashboard are all designed to communicate information visually so you can get the sourcing data you need more quickly and pull information that's buried up where you can see it.
Dashboards are personalized for each user. Each user chooses their own gadgets and lays them out in columns and rows to visually emphasize the information that is most important to them. We also provide a couple of gadgets that tell users about updates to the Resource Library and communicate other Iasta SmartSource-related announcements from Iasta.
Gadget Library
The following gadgets are available:
- Activity Calendar: Prepare for upcoming events with a calendar that shows activities, auctions, and surveys for multiple projects in a single view. More
- Announcements: Find out about important Iasta SmartSource related events such as new releases scheduled maintenance, planned outages, user conferences and other news from Iasta. More
- Contract Search Results: Get counts of contracts at a glance. Put critical information such as expiring contracts up front where you can act on it by charting contract counts from custom searches. More
- Current Projects: Review status with high-level summary information about active sourcing projects. More
- Pending Profiles: See when profiles are waiting for review. Decrease response times by increasing visibility, especially for self-registration profiles. More
- Profile Statistics: Monitor the supplier profile process. Find out at a glance how many suppliers have submitted which types of profiles and how many have been verified or rejected. More
- Recent Activity: Stay on top of your projects with a detailed log of actions performed on auctions, sealed bids, surveys, and documents. More
- Resource Library Recent Activity: Get updated when new content such as sample templates, user forums, and feature requests are posted in the Resource Library. More
- Task List: Increase productivity with a To Do list that's automatically generated by Iasta SmartSource and ordered by due date. Set the timeframe to match your personal planning horizon. Click the down arrow button
in the upper right corner and choose Edit settings then enter the number of days you want to include and click Save. More
Making More Space for the Dashboard
With the dashboard highlighting issues and events in projects, you may find that you don't need to rely on the tree or project search to find your projects because you can navigate directly to projects, tasks, and events from the dashboard gadgets. You can allocate more space for the dashboard by closing the Connections and Projects Tree and the Navigation pane on the left side of your Iasta SmartSource Desktop window.

Where is the Iasta SmartSource Dashboard?
The dashboard is on your Iasta SmartSource landing page in the Sourcing workspace. With the Sourcing tab selected in the top-level navigation, expand your connection in the tree and the dashboard appears in the right pane.
